Joycemint’s Annual Concert 2008

This is the second year that I was asked to shoot the Joycemint’s Annual Concert. I felt so excited and privileged to have the opportunity to shoot their concert again, as children and music is my favorite shooting subject and theme.

It is also joyful to see all familiar faces that have grown up through the years, and their music achievement has reached even higher level. Hurray to all the performers, you are great, and of course, congratulation to Joyce and Gloria for another successful annual concert.

The following are some of the photo that I have taken, to view more of the concert photo, kindly go to joycemintkl.spaces.live.com

StarDrift Chanllege, Round 3, Melaka

On a sizzling hot Sunday afternoon, I went shooting "Star Drift Chanllege" motor sport with my photo buddies. As this was my first time shooting car drifting, the followings are some of the advises from my photo buddies: Set to Shutter Priority, start with shutter speed 1/60 sec, and wear a pair of shoe and prepare to run in case of "Spin-out".

Initially, I was wondering what they meant, but when I reached the race track, I started to understand what they meant, as we were standing in the middle of the race track, and the cars were drifting at an estimated distance of 50m from us. No wonder that we need to prepare to run.

So, it proved again what photographer does for the sake of art and documenting the event.

Just in case, you do not know what is a "Spin Out", the following photo shown what happened after a car was spin-out from the race track and end up in front of a group of people that were watching the race. When the car started "flying" toward you, you just need to run - "FAST"

Emma

I know .. I know .. put the lens cap on ... but sometimes, if you construct the flare effect intentionally, it can be cool. (BTW, the flare was not created using Photoshop)

My sister-in-law's brother wedding

I have recently attended my sister-in-law’s brother wedding at the Raffle Hotel Singapore. The ambient was nice and the light was great, I could not resist and started snapping photo again. Not to mention the dinner banquet was really yummy.
